WELCOME TO HAUMOANA SCHOOL 2017!

On behalf of the staff, Board of Trustees and Home School Association, we welcome you and your child to learning at Haumoana School – a school where we THINK  CHALLENGE and ACHIEVE.

Haumoana School provides a rich, supportive learning environment where children become confident, successful lifelong learners. Our school’s values: Excellence, Integrity, Respect and Belonging create a strong and positive learning community with a strong family feel.

At Haumoana School we take pride in the fact that we are not “PC”.  We balance good “old-fashioned” risk and  adventure with modern digital learning environments and produce learners who thrive on challenges inside the classroom and out.  Haumoana School children can climb trees, jump on the trampoline, slide down the hill on  a slippery slide, train on their bikes at lunchtime or rearrange the metal climbing frames to challenge their agility.  Managed risk and challenging opportunities outside the classroom enhances learning inside.  It is a recipe for success.

We are proud of our school that is extremely well supported by a wonderful community. It is this support that enables us to deliver high quality programmes of learning inside and outside of the classroom. A close partnership between home and school is encouraged to ensure that your child makes the most of their educational opportunities and reaches their potential.
