Sport
We offer a wide range of school-based and extra curricula sports that provide children with an opportunity to develop their sporting and leadership skills and build friendships.
We are a fair play school so in all activities the concept of play hard but fair is at the forefront.
School Sports Days
There is an emphasis on participation on these days. These are always well supported by parents.

Lunchtime Activities
During lunchtime we have a positive choices programme, where the children choose from a range of fun and purposeful activities. Lunchtime activities include :
- T Ball
- Cycling during cycle safety weeks
- Padder Tennis

- Skateboarding/ scootering
- Soccer
- Hop Scotch
- Play Structure
- Sand Pit
- Library
- Cricket
- Monkey bars
From time to time there are parent / student lunchtime matches in some sports.

- Cycling – Our cycling team successfully competes locally and at North Island level.

Coastal Cluster
Senior students are involved in an interschool sports competition that involves nine local primary schools. These events are held 11 times through the year for the following events:
- Touch Rugby
- tech challenge
- Soccer
- Ki o rahi
- Netball
- Swimming
- Cross Country
- Literacy challenge
- Tabloid sports/ Athletics
- Hockey
- Kiwi softball
Senior Students are also involved in a year-long competition for the Sports House Shield. Every year we enter teams into the Bare Foot Sevens Competition & Beach 5’s Rugby Competitions.
